08/27/2008	Director of K-12 Programs	SINE is currently seeking a Director of K-12 Programs to manage and further develop SINE’s K-12 activities in southwest Indiana. This individual will be responsible for determining which new programs should be offered by SINE and its K-12 division, Consultants in Education, and determining the schedule for the training of consultants and rollout of new services. In addition, this position is also responsible for determining SINE’s annual workshop schedule and communicating with Marketing, IT, and other appropriate departments to ensure proper communication of new workshops and programs. This Director of K-12 Programs will also act as a liaison between SINE/CIE and the education community, updating teachers, principals, and superintendents of news and information relevant to SINE’s K-12 programs and services. Qualifications include: - Experience/knowledge of public/private K-12 environment, state requirements, regulations, etc. - 10+ years of teaching preferred, experience in administration, curriculum, and professional development is essential - Understanding of progressive educational techniques, such as Differentiated Instruction, Simple 6, 6 Traits Writing, DIBELS, Scientific Research-Based reading instruction, high ability programs, data based decision making, Failure Is Not An Option, integrating technology, etc. - Ability to manage people and large projects - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Finance, budgeting, accounting, or other business experience a plus To apply for this position, please send a letter of application and copy of your résumé to: Southwest Indiana Network for Education ATTN: Sandy Nixon, Director of K-12 Programs 909 W.
