The Southwest Indiana Network for Education was established in 2001 to address educational concerns in southwestern Indiana. SINE’s mission is to raise low levels of youth and adult literacy, assist at-risk youth, provide professional development for teachers, and improve communication among teachers, parents, students, and communities.

SINE was made possible by a $19.9 million grant to the Alliance Initiatives Fund of the Community Foundation Alliance from Lilly Endowment as part of its Community Alliances to Promote Education, or CAPE, initiative, whose goal is to address poor education attainment rankings in our state.

Though funding from the Lilly Endowment made SINE’s initial accomplishments possible, community support is necessary to sustain our efforts. With your support, we’ll do even more.  Please consider contributing to SINE today!
