Through creative collaboration and consensus-building among local partners, SINE has developed Adult Literacy Councils in each of the nine counties in SINE’s Southwest Indiana service area.

The Adult Literacy Councils are charged with either developing new adult learning opportunities of high intensity and duration or enhancing existing programs available to adults in their respective counties.

Each Adult Literacy Council is composed of literacy organizations, businesses, workforce development offices, community organizations, chambers of commerce, public libraries, family and children service providers, secondary and post-secondary education institutions, and other organizations.
