Consultants in Education is a group of educational consultants developed under the auspices of SINE (Southwest Indiana Network for Education). SINE’s CIE division includes several full-time and part-time consultants with real-world, classroom teaching experience who are available to assist schools and teachers with the latest educational strategies.
Our consultants work well with large and small groups of teachers, do an excellent job of providing mini-workshops for teachers at individual schools, are really good at doing demonstration teaching to model instructional strategies being learned by teachers, can facilitate teacher study groups around a variety of topics, and can help find resources and provide support to teachers implementing new strategies.
At the invitation of the teacher, the consultant will also observe the teacher teaching and provide coaching feedback to the teacher. Of course, whatever the plan turns out to be, it is worked out and communicated fully involving the school principal, whose involvement is crucial!
Among the topics that SINE’s CIE consultants can help with are literacy, writing, mathematics, technology, at-risk youth, curriculum development, and others. If any of these areas are targeted in your school’s professional development plan, contact CIE to see how we can help!
