6 Traits Writing

6 Traits Writing is an effective way to learn and use a common language to refer to characteristics of writing as well as create a common vision of what ‘good’ writing looks like. Teachers will learn to assess and teach writing across all six traits (Ideas, Organization, Voice, Word Choice, Sentence Fluency, Conventions), teach their students to be assessors, and teach their students to use good and thoughtful assessment as a basis for revision.
