These summer camps will give students hands-on observation and learning opportunities in such topics as Computer Aided Design, Computer Controlled Machining, Lasers, Robotics, Statistical Quality Control, etc. Sessions will be conducted by VU faculty in VU's state-of-the-art
Students will arrive on campus late Sunday afternoon and stay until Wednesday afternoon. They will live in student campus housing, eat in student dining facilities, and, in general, get a taste of college campus life. They will be appropriately chaperoned throughout their stay. There is no cost to the student for these camps.
The primary focus is on students completing the eighth or ninth grades with an interest in mathematics, science, and technology. Technology sessions will be conducted at the appropriate level. It is a natural extension of Project Lead The Way activities.
