This workshop qualifies for up to 6 points towards educator license renewal from the Indiana Department of Education. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will receive a certificate indicating their completion of the training and the number of hours in which they participated. This certificate, once authorized by the school's administration, can then be used as verification of attendance and submitted with the teacher’s license renewal request.

This workshop qualifies for 1 credit hour through the University of Southern Indiana's EDUC590 Professional Development course.
Additional workshops can enable teachers to earn multiple credits:
1-2 day workshop = 1 credit hour
3-4 day workshop = 2 credit hours
5 or more days = 3 credit hours
These are the conditions for earning credit:
1. Participants must register with USI for the appropriate EDUC 590 by January 8th. If the participant fails to meet the registration deadline for a particular academic session, late fees apply. Tuition is at the normal graduate rate ($242.50/credit hour currently).
2. Participants must complete a Professional Development Performance for Credit form after registering for the course (available from USI). The participant completes, signs, and sends the form to the university to the attention of Dr. Goebel (contact information below).
3. An essay, portfolio, or presentation is required for earning the credit. These are provided to the university for assessment about two weeks before the end of the semester. The presentation is an exception, sometimes. The teacher might, for example, present workshop information to his/her faculty and then provide proof of this performance.
